The Brit Youth Theatre is not a franchise. It was set up in 2004 by two working actors, Michelle Connolly and Steve Paget. The idea was to have a stage school that focused on getting the students on to the stage, and performing. We are passionate about what we do and how we do it.
We are extremely proud of the quality of our productions, but more importantly, having a large scale production to work towards, in a full scale theatre with costume and set, is an exciting way of motivating our students to work hard and have pride in what they’re doing, whilst instilling them with confidence and self belief.
What do we do?
We hold classes once a week. Each class is for two and a half hours. Students sing, act and dance, with the upcoming production providing direction and focus. Students are split into groups depending on age; 6-11 and 12-18. This focus on performance, makes us unique, and an extremely exciting and engaging place for students to come and experience the thrill of being on stage.
